A rear window wiper.

Meh the BRZ rushing over the car blows the water off anyway.
I'm sorry.

On a serious note, this was after sustained 70-75mph highway driving.

Why not both?

I will forever be baffled as to why in the US a vehicle needs to have a nearly vertical rear window before we can have a wiper on it, whereas in Japan, you see rear wipers on nearly everything.

The funny thing is my truck with an actually vertical rear window has no problems with this since the airflow doesn’t hit it.

Job done. What it REALLY needs is the third brake light integrated into the trunk somehow. How do you see behind you at all with that thing there?

We need more rear wipers on coupes and sedans.

I just stick on my heated rear window, that seems to improve visibility out the rear

Roof spoiler?

That won’t do anything for rain. Unless you have some sort of laser-based window heater that instantly vaporizes water upon impact with the window...
So you drive a Lancia then???

Turn on your rear window defrost.

It actually does seem to help, oddly.

I don’t notice it in the mirror itself. The rearview is actually CONCAVE for some reason. Makes backing up a scary experience. (Objects in mirror are not in fact 6 inches away from you as they might appear)

That looks hilariously small. “It’s raining, better clear the porthole”

Hmmm... good to know. A BRZ purchase is in my near future. I will probably be diligent with the rain-X just to see better.

I added a BeatSonic backup camera and wiring harness. Plugs right into the factory head unit, which supports it. But even it gets a bit messy in the rain (like today).
As for the third brake light, I’d much rather see a thin LED strip integrated into the top of the back window than that monstrousity on the rear deck. Unfortunately removing it leaves gaping holes that don’t look any better.

Apply Aquapel or wax or even better a sealant and none of the water will stick.

I miss my rear window wiper. Some asshole stole it.

I’m not fond of the idea of running wires from my license plate region all the way to my stereo. I’d also have to rig up the reverse sensor, etc... I think I’ll just stick to hoping no-one is dumb enough to just stand in the way of a slowly reversing car.

Reverse sensor is automatically sent to the head unit, which is already set up to receive it and switch to backup camera mode. But that doesn’t help with not wanting to run the wires, which I admit is a pain.

yes - it needs that WRX turbo flat 4... Stupid Toyota...

Nope I drive a BRZ and surprisingly it does make a difference having the heated rear window on when it rains, nowhere near as effective as a wiper but better than nothing

I mean... it IS the WRX turbo flat 4... just without the turbo. As such things go, it’s pretty easy to rectify that on one’s own.
Personally I think the car has plenty of power. I don’t really find myself wanting more.
